Sweet Stampede April Blog Hop ~ CARD SKETCH

Image
Hello April and Welcome Spring So happy to have you join us again for our monthly Sweet Stampede Blog Hop. Our projects this month each began with this fun 'card sketch' below. It's not uncommon for crafters to have soooo many supplies and pretty things to create with, that we sometimes have a hard time 'beginning' a project. "Where do I start?"  A card sketch makes for a great ignition switch that can ignite the flames of creativity  and get you started......and then it's all playtime after that.  You can follow a card sketch exactly as is OR switch it up as you create. For example, our card sketch this month is in a vertical orientation. However, I could have very simply viewed it in a horizontal position instead. The flagged banner shown on the sketch doesn't have to be a banner. It could very well be a ribbon and bow tied to one side. It's entirely up to YOUR interpretation. There are no rules when it comes to crafting, other than to enjoy...

Storybook Moments ~Treat BOOK Box

Storybook Moments ~ Book Treat Box In MY opinion 'one cannot have enough Storybook Moments projects'.  Pretty sure it's been my most favorite Designer Series Paper (DSP) that Stampin' Up! has ever released.  The sweet prints, soft colors, pre-printed die cuts.... OH MY CUTENESS!!!  The entire Storybook Moments Suite has been highly popular and rightfully so!! With the name 'StoryBOOK Moments, I knew at some point I needed to pair this paper with the Stampin' Up! Book Treat Boxes.  And with Easter quickly approaching, I  felt now would be the perfect opportunity. Last week I shared this same project (though different in pattern) over on my Facebook page and YOU all loved it. So much so, that many of you reached out asking for instructions.  Well, today is the day. Here you go......   Surprise!!! I've added a little framed cover that's fits perfectly over the inside.  Not only does this...

Storybook Moments ~ Springtime Seed Card

Storybook Moments ~ Springtime Seed Card Ahhhhhhh, who else is ready for Spring?  Here in Oklahoma, Spring = tornados.  I consider myself a California transplant (going on 13 years) and still not use to 'severe storms',  and most certainly NOT a fan of visiting the land of Oz anytime soon.  However, I am soooo ready for green grass and warmer temperatures!!!!  I'm also ready to start creating and mailing my favorite kind of cards........ my annual 'SEED cards'. I must admit, I do not have a green thumb. Although, I can keep things 'alive'. So, I guess it's safe to say that I don't have a black thumb either. Lol!! I've tried planting seeds in little starter pots, with the promise of serving a gorgeous, homegrown, handpicked salad one night with supper. Ha, hasn't happened yet. In fact, my dream has yet to make it past the cute little green shoots poking their heads above the dirt. It's my conclusion that I might be trying too hard.  ๐ŸŒท๐ŸŒผ๐ŸŒน...

Sweet Stampede March Blog Hop~ 'Color Challege'

Welcome March,   Slainte`!!! It's finally March, one of my favorite months of the year.  Celebrating the Luck of the Irish and the predominance of all things green . Actually, in full transparency... I begin celebrating St Patrick's Month as early as the day after Valentine's Day, February 15th.  My Irish pride and Shenanigans are front and forward pretty much all year. ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ€ ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ€ ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ€ ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ€ ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ€ ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ€ ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ€ With a new month, comes a new edition of our Sweet Stampede Team Blog Hop.  This month we've designed our projects using a 'color challenge'. Each of our projects feature the Stampin' Up! color combination of Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and  Granny Apple Green.  Ahhhh, I absolutely LOVE these colors together!!!!!  So bright and cheerful and a sure sign that Springtime is right around the corner.  Here's hoping our creations spark some inspiration in you as well and that you'll give this beautiful color combination a try yourself.  Remember ...
