Sweet Stampede September Blog Hop ~ Sept-Dec Mini Catalog
Hip hip hooray, it's finally September and Fall is on it's way π
It's quite the marathon of sorts surviving the various seasonal 'extremes' in Oklahoma.
Winter here is typically ICE storms in February. Followed by about three days of what I'd call "Spring", sunshine and green grass once again! Then the dreaded "Tornado Season", my very least favorite. Once we flip the calendar to June, I drop to my knees and thank the good Lord above! We've survived, once again and can now enjoy our 4-5 days of Summer before we're thrown into the hellish heat of July & August, these are our hibernation months where our AC is set on 'morgue'! And then finally the 'ber months show up and we all become human again for a few weeks. That is until Mother Nature likes to spring a 'secondary tornado season' on us. We've survived 12+ years now here in Oklahoma and THIS 'secondary' malarkey STILL catches me off guard! This one for the most part is much more mild and less scary.
All that being said..............
Hello Autumn and welcome. We NEED you <3
Enough rambling, lets get stamping..........................

I chose to feature the very first stamp set shown in the new catalog, page 4.
Stampin' Up's 'Making a Difference' Stamp Set......
'Love & Courage'
Stampin' Up! will donate $3 to breast cancer organizations with each purchase of this
'Love & Courage' stamp set. #165935
As noted in the catalog: From diagnosis through treatment and recovery, people impacted by breast cancer face countless challenges, and no one should go through it alone. If you know someone affected by breast cancer, offer your support and send a thoughtful card.
Stamping for a cause......
I started with a 4-1/4" x 11" Thick Basic White folded in half for my cardbase.
The gorgeous background is from the Everyday Skies DSP pack, cut into five strips measuring 1-1/8" x 5-1/2" each. I adhered strips 1,3 & 5 flat to the card front and strips 2 & 4 raised with dimensionals.
Stamped the 'sunflower' image in Melon Mambo ink, by first masking off the words with a post-it. I did the opposite when stamping the words in Secret Sea (it's the new black, and I love it). Masked off the flower with a post-it, ink up the words only. *Don't forget to REMOVE that post-it before stamping onto a piece of Basic White cardstock.
Cut this image using the fun Banner Dies. Before adding this piece to the card front, I cut a thin 1/4" strip of Pretty In Pink from the 2024-2026 In Color Glimmer Specialty Paper.
I also cut a small 1/2' strip of Basic White, embossed it with the Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder and adhered both to the top of the banner piece, with just a sliver of the glimmer paper peeking through. Adhere to the card front.
I felt the card needed a bow, although most ribbon I tried seemed too 'heavy', it took away from the beauty and message of the card. Soooooo I trimmed the edge off a piece of the White 1/4" Ribbon and pulled out individual strands, tied them into a wispy bow and it was just what I was hoping for.
Finishing off the beautiful card by adding a few Strawberry Slush / Pretty Pink Gems.
